My brother you were so certain

About the job you’d select
The only dream you ever had, was

To serve and protect

How honorable a profession

Everyone would agree
Why you’re no longer patrolling isn’t so

Dedicated and so proud

Matt, you’re a hero to us all

Now that you’ve taken a fall

Down to your last step, you were

Brave as could be
Offering your own life

While that coward tried to flee

Matt, we know what you did

For your courage under fire
